New-look Airport App Experience
Speedwell has been working with Brisbane Airport Corporation since 2013 when we developed the very first Brisbane Airport iPhone app. Since then, we have continued to deliver various digital solutions – expanding the app into the Android platform, implementing updates on the iPhone platform and integrating the Apple Watch.

Improving Business Processes
Prowler Proof partners with a network of over 150 dealers across Australia who sell and install their extensive range of security door and window screens.
To further streamline their processes, Prowler Proof identified that dealers needed faster, more direct access to the manufacturing status of individual orders without having to phone the sales team when they received customer enquiries while out of their office. This information would also allow the dealers to provide superior service to customers via regular, up-to-date feedback about the exact status of their orders and the installation timeframes.
Speedwell is excited to announce that we have been successful in achieving a position on the Digital Service Professionals Panel of the Australian Government Digital Transformation Office (DTO).
The Digital Transformation Office (DTO) was created to work with government agencies, users and private sector partners to deliver a better experience for Australians using government services. As part of the Prime Minister’s portfolio the Digital Service Standard ensures that digital teams will create systems that are simpler, clearer and faster for all users.

This year over 1400 Australian business leaders joined the 2016 ‘Vinnies CEO Sleepout’ to raise crucial funds that will provide emergency assistance to the women, children and men who need it most.

It is difficult to believe that in such an incredible and “lucky” country there are 105,000 Australians – including an increasing number of women and young children who struggle to survive and have no place to call home. Did you know:
- 24,000 are homeless because of domestic and family violence
- 27% are children
- Many Australians are only two pay days away from being homeless
Homelessness is a real statistic and can happen to anyone. We need to unite as a community to eradicate the homeless statistic by giving hope and assistance to the most vulnerable in our society. On 23 June I will join other business leaders in the 2016 Vinnie’s CEO Sleepout to support the challenge of raising awareness and much-needed funds to support the homeless in our community. Please help me to make a difference to the lives of others.

Recently, our General Manager James Radvan was invited to contribute to the Digital Brisbane blog in order to share some of Speedwell’s digital industry knowledge with Brisbane’s small business community.
Speedwell works with a lot of businesses of all sizes in Brisbane, and we deal with many of the same concerns over and over. One of the common ones is web security, and James deals with that in his first article.

It is clearly the month for our client PPQ to shine in the awards arena! We are proud to announce that ppq.com.au has won the ‘Outstanding Achievement’ Award in the ‘Retail’ category of the Interactive Media Awards 2015. There were 145 entries submitted in this category and each project was rated using five specific criteria with a score of 0-100 awarded for each. The comprehensive judging process considers design, content, feature functionality, usability and standards compliance. Ppq.com.au received the excellent score of 475 (out of a possible 500) qualifying it for the ‘Outstanding Achievement’ award in the Retail category.

Speedwell is proud to announce that our client site, Personalised Plates Queensland (PPQ) has been awarded Winner of the Best eCommerce Solution (Australia & New Zealand) in the Sitecore Experience Awards 2015.
PPQ.COM.AU is the main sales portal for Queenslanders to create and purchase their choice of personalised vehicle number plates. The solution combines the best of interactive digital technology, using the Sitecore Experience Platform at its core while integrating with secure third party systems to deliver an immersive customer experience.
As systems grow in complexity, coverage and accuracy of testing via manual systems becomes too labour intensive. Automation assists the team to achieve maintainability and flexibility of test suites, identifying issues quickly to ensure they are resolved at an early stage. Automation can be done repetitively and adds additional testing that would be difficult to cover through manual testing.
