The 2015 St Vinnies CEO Sleepout was a great success! On the 18th of June 1300 CEOs slept out in the cold, experiencing for one night what over 100,000 Australians experience every night. Their commitment has increased the profile of homelessness and the generous support given by many resulted in crucial funds being raised for Vinnies homeless services. Special thanks to everyone who supported this great cause.
Last week Apple announced iOS 9, the next version of their operating system on mobile. This release is set to make the platform smarter and more powerful, with upgrades to built-in apps and Siri, improvements to performance, and new features that are looking to create a better experience and change the way we interact with our devices. On the 9th of September, Apple revealed their own watch called the Apple Watch, due to be released in 2015. As Apple’s first foray into wearable technology, the Apple Watch promises a lot more than just telling the time. From receiving notifications, tracking your health and fitness, connecting with others and making payments, the watch will enable iPhone users to connect and interact in new ways. Once again, designers and developers will need to reconsider how their iOS apps will connect with the users.
